A necessary companion piece. Jan 02, 2000
If The Simpsons Forever! isn't crammed as full of information as its predecessor, A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family, it remains a must-have book for any fan of The Simpsons. The Simpsons Forever! picks up where that book left off, covering the ninth and tenth seasons of the show, as well as filling in a few holes that surprisingly did exist in the first book. It really is helpful only if you own the first book as well--though the style is essentially identical, and the book is of incredibly high quality, this book isn't the exhaustive compilation of Simpsons information that the first one was. If you already own the first book, you need to own this one as well. If you don't, you should still buy this one, but buy the other first.

A Hot Simpsons Injection! Dec 30, 2000
The Simpsons is an incredible merchandise machine. Though some people say the animated sitcom hit it's peak popularity in the early 1990's I still find the show to be utterly hilarious. It is almost surprising not to see a Simpsons "spin-off" like you do with so many other popular sitcoms. Although it is a given that those aren't animated but on the other hand those aren't usually as popular as long as The Simpsons have been. This book, is a small but excellent continuation of the previous book, "The Simpsons: A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family." The original book contained an amazing amount of details, facts, and humorous quips that define The Simpsons. The quotes and lines they select are classic. This sequel to that book delivers the same kind of material with more characters, couch gags, and guest stars. There is even a wonderful tribute to Troy McClure, voiced by the late great Phil Hartman. If you or anyone you know enjoys The Simpsons then this book and it's predecessor are "MUST-HAVES." You learn many hilarious things that you may have missed while watching the episodes on TV. This is money well-spent!

Great Continuation Jul 29, 2000
This book is an excellent continuation of The Simpsons: A Complete Guide To Our Favorite Family. The Simpsons Forever! begins exactly where its predecessor left off by covering the ninth and tenth seasons of this famous show. Each episode has a synopsis, a list of things you might have missed, and a list of some of the highlights from the episode. Included in this book is a list of the different beginning sequences of the show, a list of the times Homer says D'oh, and of course there are bios on many of the side characters that pop up on the show. There are many other things included that are too numerous to mention. Any Simpsons fanatic needs to buy this book and its predecessor for their unlimited wealth of information about the show.

The Simpson Bible's added chapters Jan 30, 2001
By John Nelson Well, we can give the creators of the Simpsons credit in two BIG places. One, they have constructed a continuation of their SIMPSONS A COMPLETE GUIDE TO OUR FAVORITE FAMILY in almost perfect form. It's an exact copy of the way the original book was presented. Episodes are summerized with popular sayings and sights recorded, we are treated to clear pictures of the episodes, more bios on characters in the show, bright colors, episode numbers, in other words, the works is presented in Simpsorific form. FOREVER even adds on a few additions such as a list of songs sung in the show, a very acurate discription of Barts music videos from the early 90's and a list of the works of the character Troy McClure, a list which sadly will not need to be updated. We fans miss you Phil. Secondly and MOST importantly, the writers (as stated by Groening in the forward) they made it a seperate book. NO ONE who bought the first book (like me) will end up getting scrooged into buying something they already own just to get the extra stuff. It's happened to many of us too many times, and lets hope this trend of good faith in marketing continues on. I compliment the writers in this area. If there is ANY problem with this book, it's that it is no where near the meatiness of the first book. COMPLETE gave us 8 seasons of the show, FOREVER is a minor 2. Regardless, if you loved the first book, the second one continues where the first one left off, just smaller. I would have given it 5 stars if they put off printing for at least another season. Oh well, good book anyway or as Mr. Burns would say "Excellent."

continuing as it should Feb 26, 2000
Just as nicely laid out and detailed as The Complete guide. This continues from season's 9-10. The only draw back is the price. Compared to the first books value for money - this is slightly less as it is about 2/5 the length. It is still a great read.
