This is basically your standard apron, fits well, good coverage. I cook a lot a kept noticing that I would ruin new shirts with oil spatters so as mush as I didn't want wear an apron, it was killing me to ruin nice clothes cause of my love of cooking on high heat. Cartoon has gotten a few laughs from friends and family---humorous without being vulgar. I thought it was black when I ordered it, but it is really a navy blue with light blue image.
